Club Activity 9th Session of Secondary Section (2020-21), WIS, PB

 ALL ABOUT WIS CLUBS (THE NINTH LEVEL)

On Saturday, 6th February, 2021, Witty International School, Pawan Baug, Malad (West) clubs entered in their ninth session and various perky club activities were taken up not only to help students shape their personal interests and hobbies but also improve their leadership and social skills.

Pixelate Media Club conducted an interesting session on ‘Editing in Adobe Lightroom’ which consisted of how to fix exposure, how to recover detail, correct colours and its tones, etc. ROFL Comedy Club took up ‘Structured Stand Up’ session which was conducted by the guest Hitarth Joshi (Podcaster) who exposed students to easy and innovative methods of writing a comic script. Spotlight Theatre Club took up ‘The Art of Narration’ which was conducted by Himangi Nair (National level story narration winner). The Infinity Dance Club conducted a fun filled and bewitching session on the 'Memory moves’. ‘Sketchnoting-Want To Dig Deeper’ was an activity taken up by Literati: Literary Arts Club. It helped the students to transit from verbal to visual note-taking, thereby, giving them a deeper understanding of a concept.

The Lab Rats club conducted a session on ‘What's The Buzz: Using Sounds to Study Marine Animals’ which was conducted by Isha Bopardikar (Marine Biologist, PhD Student, IISER Tirupati). Titans Sports Club invited Miss Dipika Baria as a guest trainer who took up a ‘Zumba’ activity. The students of Awaaz Club discussed one of the most sensitive issues, ‘The Farmers Protest’. Mr. Kiran Devidas Kharat was a very special guest invited by Symphony Music Club who guided the students with his knowledge of Western and Classical instruments. Mathletes Club conducted an activity called ‘Brain Booster Activity’ to give our brain a serious workout. Picasso Art Club gave a new life to the cardboards left at home, thereby, teaching students the benefits of recycling, reducing the impact of their move on the environment, which is a win for them and a win for the earth.

 

Students shared their ideas and enjoyed learning from each other during this session. Teachers were there to guide them at every step, and to prepare them to take up challenges. These experiences have helped the students to acquire skills required for proactive and prepared endeavours. These sessions will always remain unmatched as fun and joy are jammed with intense learning!
