Phoolon ka taaron ka sabka kehna hai,
Ek hazaron main meri behna hai.
Saari umaar humme sangh rehna hain.
Happy Raksha Bandhan!
Children of the pre-primary section
at Witty World celebrated the festival of ‘Raksha Bandhan’ on Friday, 20th
August 2021. The teacher explained about the festival and its importance.
Children were informed that Raksha Bandhan is primarily observed in India, and
it celebrates the strong relationship between brothers and sisters. The
ceremony involves tying of a rakhi (sacred thread) by a sister on her brother's
wrist. This symbolizes a sister's love and prayers for her brother's
well-being, and the brother's lifelong vow to protect her. Brother presents a
gift to his sister and they then offer sweets to each other. Children made a
rakhi using their scissor skills, drew an envelope and rakhi. They also heard
some melodious songs related to Rakshbandhan. It was surely a day filled with
bonding and love.
