Makar Sankranti Celebration by Pre- Primary Section 2021-22, Witty World, Goregaon East

The sun rises with new hope,
Kites fly with vigor,
Crops are ready to be harvested,
All denoting hope,
Joy and abundance.

Makar Sankranti marks the beginning of the new harvest festival and is celebrated with fervour  on 14th January. Unlike all other Indian festivals Makar Sankranti has its own historical and religious significance in India. It marks the completion of the winter season and the beginning of the new harvest season. This festival is also known as Uttarayan.

We at Witty World , truly believe in celebrating all festivals and enriching the learner’s with their importance and historical significance. Nursery children enjoyed making and sticking big diamond and small triangle shape together to make a kite.

Children of Jr.KG and SR.KG showed their creativity by making an origami kite along with a scenery in their scrapbook.Little Witans enjoyed activities with their peers virtually.
