REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATIONS
At Witty International School, children of Pre-Primary section celebrated Republic day on Friday, 23 January 2015. During the Republic Day celebrations, children of Play Group and Junior KG wore dresses with colours from the tri-colour of our National flag and children of Nursery and Sr.KG were dressed like our Freedom Fighters or Politicians.
The children were informed that Republic Day is celebrated on 26th of January of every year because India became a free and republic nation on 26th January 1950. Teacher also explained the importance of Republic Day to the children.

Children also received information about the national symbols. The Republic Day celebration included activity sessions wherein, children of Play Group and Jr.KG coloured the National flag on the worksheet, Fancy Dress on Freedom Fighter or Politician was organized for the Nursery section and children of Sr.KG spoke about their favorite Freedom Fighter or Politician followed by making the tri-colour head gear. Later they had great fun dancing to the tunes of the patriotic songs.
It was indeed a patriotic celebration for the little ones.
