Tourism is the practice of travelling for
pleasure especially on one’s holidays. The desire to explore new places and
cultures has helped the world to come together and connect effectively. The
theme of the year is ‘Tourism and Jobs: a better future for all’.
To foster awareness of the importance of
tourism and its social, cultural, political and economic impact, World Tourism
Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and gusto at Witty Kids on 27th September,
2019.
Tourism and Air Transport industry complement
each other. The concept of "Airport" was beautifully showcased
by the students which they not only enjoyed but acknowledged its worldwide need
and importance.
Students came dressed up as cabin crew, airport
managers, aviation safety managers and other security staff that assist
travellers at the airport till they board the flight.
The activity extended
tips for that part of your journey by air between the entrance door of the
airport terminal until the time you board your aircraft.
Various counters like Check-in, Immigration,
Security check, passenger service and ticketing assistant were created. Welcome
Signs, Arrival and Departure Information boards were displayed too.
Each and every student was mesmerized and
shared their experiences. On the occasion of World Tourism Day, we can say that
creativity of our students travelled really well. Students learnt the standard procedures, rules, and other basics of traveling by air.
